V-2 Restoration
The Cosmosphere’s V-2 rocket arrived in the summer of 1989, saved from an army warehouse in Alabama, which was about to be torn down. It arrived via a flatbed rail car and was taken first to the Cosmosphere’s SpaceWorks division in Hutchinson, Kansas, for restoration before being placed on exhibit at the Cosmosphere.
